Good coffee shouldn’t cost the earth, and for us, sustainability isn’t a buzzword or a corporate box to tick. It’s hardwired into the very fabric of how we roast. By operating as a Carbon Neutral+ roastery, we try and do the right things and aim to pull more carbon out of the atmosphere than our business creates.

We are proud members of 1% for the Planet. That means 1% of our total sales (not just profit) goes straight to environmental non-profits. A small percentage driving a massive impact.

Closer to home, we support woodland initiatives through Carbon Forest and UK peatland restoration. Inside the roastery, there's zero room for waste. We run advanced roasting tech to strip out emissions and slash gas consumption.

Even our by-products pull their weight. Instead of hitting the landfill, our empty sacks and nitrogen-rich chaff (the skin shed from the bean during roasting) head straight to local South Downs vineyards to feed the soil.

From funding the restoration of UK peatlands to supporting woodland initiatives through Forest Carbon, we’re on a mission to ensure our roastery has a net positive impact on the environment. When we roast, the planet breathes a little easier.

The unfiltered truth about eco-friendly packaging.

Coffee packaging is an absolute minefield. Everyone shouts about eco-friendly packaging options like ‘compostable’ bags, but here’s the unfiltered truth. Most of them only break down in industrial facilities that UK councils don’t actually use.

We prefer to be fully transparent. Here is the reality of our 100% recyclable packaging:

• PCR plastic: Our bags are built from Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic, giving old bottles a second shot at life instead of creating fresh waste.
• The 'LDPE 4' symbol: That stands for Low-Density Polyethene. It’s fully recyclable, but not every local council is set up to handle it, check your local guidelines before throwing.
• The Mobius loop: Those chasing arrows mean the bag is ready to be properly processed and reused through supermarket collection points.
• Aluminium capsules: No plastic pods here. We only use aluminium because it locks in a killer roast profile and can be recycled infinitely.
