We don’t roast for awards. We roast for flavour. But the results from the Global 2025 Coffee Awards are worth shouting about.

This new global competition, launched by coffee media powerhouse Perfect Daily Grind and @The Producer Roaster Forum, welcomed an invited group of the most accomplished and respected roasters from across Europe to submit their beans. Craft House Coffee impressed the judges with one of the highest overall scores in 3/5 categories entered, following an intense two days of judging in Bordeaux, France.

The Global Coffee Awards takes high-level coffee competition principles i.e. Cup of Excellence, and applies them to the world of roasting. Each entry was evaluated ‘blind’ by an expert panel of independent and highly qualified judges (Q Graders), ensuring the award reflects true excellence, and judges purely on performance, not reputation.

The GCA saw over 1,500 coffee submissions from hundreds of roasters in dozens of countries across Europe. We walked away with two bronze medals and an honourable mention. For us, placing on the podium is a true testament to the way we roast and the flavours we chase. Proof that when you obsess over every cup, it shows.

The Winners' Circle

Bronze: Espresso Single Origin (Traditional Process)

The Roast: Sophisticated. Clean. Punchy. This award was all about honouring the heritage of the bean. No shortcuts, no gimmicks. Just a traditional processes that let the terroir do the talking. Bronze: Filter Single Origin (Experimental Process)

The Roast: Vibrant, a little fruity, and just a touch wild. We’re not shy about saying this one’s a standout. Our Ethiopia Belayneh Beriso grabbed top marks thanks to its "anoxic" experimental processing. Basically, it’s coffee science done deliciously. Think blueberries and a hint of rose. Honourable Mention: Flat White (Alternative Milk)
